Mango Milk Kefir Smoothie Bowl

Milk kefir is a popular fermented milk drink, similar to yogurt but with a way more diverse and potent probiotic profile. It's known for its tangy, slightly sour flavor and its impressive health benefits. Milk kefir has 60 unique species, and some sources even suggest up to 300 different species. Milk kefir pairs perfectly with mango making this smoothie amazingly delicious and creamy similar to a mango lassi.

Servings: 2 Bowls

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup milk kefir
  • 3 cups frozen mango
  • 6 pitted dates
  • 1/2 cup orange juice add more if needed
  • sliced bananas, goji berries, bee pollen, shredded coconut, chia seeds, and hemp hearts optional toppings

Equipment

  • 1 blender or Ninja Creami
  • Measuring Cups

Method
 

  1. Add one cup of milk kefir to a blender.
  2. Add three cups of frozen mango and 6 pitted dates.
  3. The last ingredient is 1/2-1 cup of orange juice. The amount of juice is dependent on if your blender will work. I like a thicker base for smoothie bowls.
  4. Add toppings as you see fit. I added sliced bananas, goji berries, bee pollen, shredded coconut, chia seeds, and hemp hearts.
